I am just 25, Should I meditate?

Hey I'm just 25 year old, Should I meditate?

Yes You can. I think You should. Many young patients laugh when I ask them to meditate. Come on guys, I know you love to party hard, you love to watch movies, you like she friends also like hiking, adventures and also a fitness freak but there's something missing too. Because if you are intelligent You must have thousands of questions running in your mind. And maybe sometimes you don't care to find answers within yourself. And meditation makes to think regarding all your unanswered questions!!

Now the thing is, many times you think I could not do this work properly even if i was very capable of doing that. Also I could have performed very well because I know my efficacy. But why I could not do that?! have you asked yourself ever? You might haven't care to get answer by saying yourself, oh come o life is so long, I will get another chance. But Answer me honestly are you happy by that answer? The answer is NO. Because you never think deeply. If you have thought deeply then you could have got the answer. And That's all about stress.

Let's take a look,
What is stress??

Stress is the feeling we have when under pressure, while stress givers are the things we respond to in our environment. Examples of stress givers are noises, unpleasant people, a speeding car, or even going out on a first date.

Now let's see what our scientists say regarding to stress and meditation

Meditation improves your focus, attention, and ability to work under stress

A study led by Katherine MacLean of the University of California suggested that during and after meditation training, subjects were more skilled at keeping focus, especially on repetitive and boring tasks.
Another study demonstrated that even with only 20 minutes a day of practice, students were able to improve their performance on tests of cognitive skill, in some cases doing 10 times better than the group that did not meditate. They also performed better on information-processing tasks that were designed to induce deadline stress.

In fact, there is evidence that meditators had thicker pre frontal cortex and right anterior insula, and also to the effect that meditation might offset the loss of cognitive ability with old age.
So When you want to achieve something in your life, when it comes to your favourite car, money or lovable person, always meditate just giving your 5 minutes in your entire day to make plans mentally, even it gives you courage to forgive people too.
Now another question, How should I start my meditation?
When we practise meditation we need to have a comfortable seat and a good posture. The most important feature of the posture is to keep our back straight
.
The back is straight but not tense. This helps us to develop and maintain a clear mind, and it allows the subtle energy winds to flow freely.
The lips and teeth are held as usual, but the tongue touches against the back of the upper teeth. This prevents excessive salivation while also preventing our mouth from becoming too dry.

The easiest and amazing meditation I believe is Breathing Meditation

When I have settled down comfortably on my meditation seat I begin by becoming aware of the thoughts and distractions that are arising in my mind. Then I gently turn my attention to my breath, letting its rhythm remain normal. As I breathe out I imagine that I am breathing away all disturbing thoughts and distractions in the form of black smoke that vanishes in space. As I breathe in I imagine that I am breathing in all the blessings and inspiration of the holy beings in the form of white light that enters my body and absorbs into my heart. I maintain this visualization single-pointedly with each inhalation and exhalation for twenty-one rounds.

Wow, I feel so relaxed, really you will feel too. Now I'm ready for any stressful condition because my mind is so calm now.
